Harvey Disaster Relief Donation
Chevron Phillips Chemical donated $5,000 to Pasadena Health Center (PHC) this month to provide disaster relief assistance to the clinic as it continues to offer post-Hurricane Harvey medical care to the community.
Get Your TdaP Shot at PHC
Since floodwaters receded, Pasadena Health Center has been offering free TdaP shots to the community. This is a vaccine that protects against three potentially life-threatening bacterial diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough), which people are often exposed to during and after floods.
PHC Caring for the Community
The Pasadena Health Center has also been offering medical and dental care to people affected by the storm. Clinic workers visited area shelters and provided transportation to people who needed to see a doctor. Typically, PHC only picks-up patients within a 15-mile radius, but because the need for medical care was so great after Hurricane Harvey they extended their services to La Marque, Baytown, and as far away as Rockport.
“We are not turning anyone away,” said John Sweitzer, CEO of Pasadena Health Center. “We are so happy to be working with Chevron Phillips on our efforts. This donation will help us continue to provide much-needed health services to the community.”

Located at 908 Southmore Ave., Pasadena Health Center is a non-profit organization that serviced close to 5,000 patients last year with up to 90% of those patients at or below the federal poverty rate.
